The Alien Girl
He did not have to fall asleep to start dreaming. All it took was staring into space for a moment, and the walls of the room disappeared. Suddenly, an ordinary afternoon carried him among the stars beside the girl he thought about more often than he would admit. Maybe it was only a fantasy. Maybe a wish with his eyes wide open. But even daydreams can take you a very long way.
